The H&N Slug HP sets new standards in terms of accuracy at distances way beyond 50 meters. An extremely favourable BC ensures a flat trajectory and excellent energy retention.
To accommodate different barrel profiles and power levels we offer options in diameters and weights. Slug HP is coated with a special lubricant to reduce barrel friction.

The H&N Slug HP is a airgun pellet which differs significantly from the usual pellets due to its bullet shape. It‘s designed for powerful rifles which can shoot such projectiles precisely at targets at 50, 100 or even 200 meters distance. An extremely favourable ballistic coefficient (BC) ensures a flat trajectory and excellent energy retention.
To accommodate different barrel profiles and power levels, we offer options in diameter (.2495 / .2505) and weight. The muzzle energy of the rifle should be at least 40 joules, but for best results we recommend 60 to 90 joules (depending on rifle and the weight of the Slug).
All pellets get lubricated, visually inspected, hand packed and secured for transport with foam pads.

This is our newest slugs from our new high speed press. The new press reduces our labor cost which is now reflected in our retail price. This is a hollow point nose with a flat base.

Diameter available in this slug: .250 (being a little short it will measure between .2495 and .250)Other barrel testing coming. At this time, we do not expect these to work in original smooth twist FX barrels but should be OK in the new Slug X barrel by FX.
Based on testing results it seems any of our HP .250 slugs can be tuned for FX slug liners.
Some guns may like one weight better than another.Testing so far has been with the 33.5, 36.2 and 38.5 grain. 38.5 grain is heaviest we recommend to fit the FX magazine.
Do not buy these or any slug for standard smooth twist FX barrels.
These do work in Smooth Twist X barrel SLUG liners.

These are accurate and a great choice for hunting with .25 cal PCP air rifles. Swaged from soft lead to give excellent expansion for effective and responsible hunting.
